Privacy Policy

Fact Drop sends you seven facts a day. To do that we keep an account for you and remember what you like. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. This page explains exactly what we hold and how to get rid of it.
What we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, health data, or advertising identifier. The app requests no such permissions.
Who processes it
We use a small number of processors, each for one job:
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage. This is where your account lives.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement state, tied to an account identifier.
- PostHog — product analytics. Receives your account identifier, email and display name so we can support you. Session replay is switched off.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting. Configured not to attach personally identifying information.
- Expo — push notification delivery.
- OpenAI — generates Spark conversation openers and Stump "twisted" variants. It receives the prompt and the fact, not your identity.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your personal data.
- Track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Show you third-party advertising.
- Use your data to train third-party AI models.
Your data, on demand
Both of these are in the app under Settings → Data, with no need to email us:
- Export my data — a machine-readable copy of your profile, interests, saved facts, interactions, streak and shares.
- Delete my account — removes your account and the personal data attached to it. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through the App Store — cancel that in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Anonymised, aggregated counts that cannot identify you may remain in our analytics. Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California
You have the right to access, correct, export, delete and restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to it. The export and delete tools above cover most of this immediately. For anything else, email hello@factdrop.app and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on your consent for notifications and analytics, and on contractual necessity for running your account. We have never sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
Children
Fact Drop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
