Terms of Use
Last updated 6 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Fact Drop. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
Your account
You need an account to use Fact Drop. You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in method secure — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Data → Delete my account.
Subscription, billing and cancellation
- Fact Drop is a paid subscription. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- The yearly plan begins with a 7-day free trial. The weekly plan has no trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel any time in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device, or from Settings → Subscription in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in.
- If you cancel during the free trial you are not charged. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We may change prices. Existing subscribers get notice before a change affects their renewal.
Community rules
Fact Drop lets you play against friends and strangers, choose a display name, and submit facts. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to:
- use a display name or submit content that is hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or illegal;
- impersonate another person;
- harass, threaten or abuse another player;
- submit content you do not have the right to share, or that is deliberately false;
- attempt to break, scrape, or automate the service.
Every screen showing another person carries a Report and Block control. Blocking is immediate. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours, and we remove content and eject users who break these rules, without refund. Submitted facts are reviewed before anyone else sees them. You can also email hello@factdrop.app.
The facts themselves
Facts are published with a source and a credibility rating, and we work to keep them accurate. They are for general interest only. They are not medical, legal, financial or professional advice — do not rely on them for decisions that matter. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix or pull it.
Spark openers and Stump "twisted" variants are generated by AI and are intentionally not reliable. A twisted fact is a plausible fabrication by design — that is the game. Do not repeat either as truth.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of anything you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display it for the purpose of operating the app. You confirm you have the right to grant that. We may decline, edit or remove any submission.
Our content
The app, its name, design, and the fact library are owned by us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app while your subscription is active. Do not copy, resell or redistribute the fact library.
Availability
We aim to keep Fact Drop running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change or be withdrawn. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give notice and stop billing.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, and for serious breaches we may do so immediately and without refund.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Fact Drop after that means you accept them.
